Pop star BRITNEY SPEARS took time out of parenting duties to teach youngsters how to dance in a Los Angeles studio last week (ends31MAR06). The TOXIC singer has been taking a break from her career since 2004 to raise six-month-old son SEAN PRESTON and enjoy married life with aspiring rapper KEVIN FEDERLINE. However, generous Spears offered her to share her dance skills for free to the kids at the Millennium Dance Studios.

It’s not even clear if Britney Spears is really pregnant or just really out of shape. Still at least one publication is publishing what they believe will be the former pop star’s due date.
Baby Due in September?

The month will be September reports Star Magazine. A release states:

It looks like Britney’s two babies will be exactly one year apart in age. A source tells Star that the new baby is due within a week of Sean’s first birthday on Sept. 14.

“Britney is about three months along,” the source says.

“She doesn’t believe in having babies three or four years apart,” the source says. “She wants to have hers close together. And they will be.”

Denials have been back and forth from Camp Britney as the PR team has waffled a bit on if Brit and hubby Kevin Federline are actually expecting.

Britney Spears reportedly has dreams of playing Janice Joplin in a new biopic entitled The Gospel According to Janis, according to a report from the UK.  There may be a problem - aside from the fact that it’s aninsult to Joplin’s legacy - Britney’s baby bump may cost her the role.

Certainly it is not confirmed that Brit is indeed preggers, but pictures show a distinct bump on the one-time pop star, and now she could lose the role to singer ‘Pink’ without any competition.

The UK Sun gives the details:

Director Penelope Spheeris has already met Pink, Lindsay Lohan and Zooey Deschanel for the role and is hoping to further meet with Scarlett Johansson.

Spheeris told Contactmusic.com: “(Pink) would be my first choice, but she may have scheduling conflicts.”  However, a spokesperson for Pink said: “she would do just about anything to be part of that project!”

Meanwhile, regarding Britney Spears, Spheeris said: “Her agent asked if I could meet with her. Music ability is important, but most of all, the actress must have the spirit of Janis.

“Each of the actresses who has expressed interest in the role (would) bring her own special talents to the part.”

None of the three noted seem like they could pull it off though Scarlett would have the best credentials.
