Britney Spears is so busy re-establishing her career after rehab that has no time left for her kids.

According to Britney’s friend, the ‘Baby One More Time’ singer insists that her work requires a full time commitment and so she can’t be with her sons, Sean Preston, 1, and Jayden James, 7 months

“Britney says she has so much going on with getting back to work on her album that her plate is too full to care for two kids,” Hollywoodrag quoted the friend, as telling OK! magazine.

One person who is benefiting by the Toxic star’s busy schedule is her soon to be ex-husband Kevin Federline who gets to spend all the time with the kids while Britney is away shopping, dining and getting massages.

Federline is quite elated as he feels he would see his young children growing, an experience he missed with his two kids by actress Shar Jackson.

Britney Spears has reportedly become addicted to buying wigs. The troubled star has allegedly traded her party addiction for shopping - spending more than $60,000 on wigs, vintage hats, clothes, lingerie, perfume and jewellery in less than a month. A source close to the ‘Toxic’ singer said Britney “has turned into a shopaholic”. Addiction expert Dr. Robert Butterworth told US In Touch Weekly magazine: “People with addictions often go from one compulsive behaviour to another.”

Reports say Britney Spears has fired her manager Larry Rudolph, on Friday. Spears, who’s been suffering from severe postpartum depression, blames Rudolph for recent missteps, including introducing her to her nemesis, Paris Hilton. There may be legal ramifications as she signed a multi-year deal with Rudolph. But, since she just rehired her one-time p.r. woman, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, we’re sure it will all be spun nicely in the press. Sloane didn’t know about Rudolph’s status when contacted.

Indeed, Spears — who just settled her expensive divorce from Kevin Federline — forked over $30,000 to Spirituality for Kids, a division of the Kabbalah Centre, the same group that Madonna also lavishes with tax-free cash gifts. This is according to the most recent federal tax filing of the Britney Spears Foundation.

In total, Britney gave away $590,000 in 2005, including $350,000 to relief programs related to Hurricane Katrina. Spears donated $175,000 alone to Habitat for Humanity.

Spears is also the target of the worst publicity in the world. But thanks to Nina Biggar, who runs the Britney Spears Foundation from her home in Cambridge, Mass., the pop star can count her charitable giving as a bright spot in her sketchy world.

The foundation also donated $25,000 to Spears’ summer camp; $50,000 each to Gilda’s Club and City of Hope; and $6,000 to the American Cancer Society. Of course, foundation chief Biggar also kicked $50,000 to the private Inly School of Scituate, Massachusetts. Maybe Spears is planning to send her kids there one day.

Spears’s 2005 giving was way up from the previous year — just $20,000 in 2005. But there’s also no annual pattern. She donated $110,820 in 2003. Last year was the first record of her ponying up any dough for Kabbalah, a group that thrives on receiving donations from celebrities.

Britney Spears has re-hired her former publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnick of BWR Public Relations reports PerezHilton.com.

The 24-year-old singer first put Leslie’s services on hold at the beginning on September 2006, when Britney personally decided to handle the publicity for her second son Sutton Pierce.

According to entertainment website Radar Online, the pop star had successfully managed to negotiate a lucrative deal for the exclusive rights of Sutton Pierce’s first photos.

She reportedly turned down a million offer by OK! magazine and decided to go with People magazine instead for an undisclosed sum.

Britney has been previously criticized for managing her own publicity.

Contradicting rumors of a dispute with her manager Larry Rudolph, Britney Spears reportedly has thanked her management team for forcing her to enter rehab.

After leaving the sushi restaurant Shu in Bel Air with her cousin Allie, Britney turned to the awaiting horde of paparazzi and told one to record what she was saying. Britney’s message was then videotaped, with her ranting:

“It was so right and like my management totally knew what they were doing when they sent me to rehab. So right you know?”

Then, seemingly sarcastically, she continued: “I just want to say that I’m just really, really shocked at like how nice our world is because it is just so nice. Like, oh my god. Like the other day like I was sitting there and I saw all these magazines and they said I was pregnant and like it’s so true. Like, America, believe everything you read because like you’re smart and I’m stupid.”

The seriousness of the management comment, however, is still up for debate. Whether Larry Rudolph continues to be Britney’s manager will answer that one, though.

According to a report from Us, Spears, 25, has been spending a lot of time with her cousin since returning from her weekend retreat in Las Vegas. The two hit the Epitome Salon in Beverly Hills on Wednesday, with Spears stripping down to a white bikini for a tanning session.

The report notes that then the pair then drove all over town, blasting Nelly Furtado’s CD Loose on the stereo, sipping Starbucks and shopping for kids’ clothes for Spears’ sons.

When a nearby photographer asked Britney when he could hear her new album, she responded with a smile and, in an apparent joke, said, “I think I might be quitting!” But her mood grew more thoughtful when another pap told Britney that she is doing great since getting out of rehab.

She got teary and said, “Thank you, I love you.” Britney has been through a lot and she is still under the intense spotlight. It’s good to see her letting a bit of a tender side out a bit.

Britney and her cousin were spotted shopping in LA. According to Flynet, Britney went to L’Occitane and took a whiff of some different perfumes and also stopped at a few kid’s clothing boutiques.
