For the first time since their rift over her stint in rehab, Britney Spears’ mother has broken her silence and talks to Us Weekly about some of the
difficulties her famous daughter has faced this past year.

“You go into a time in your life with the world watching and you are just trying to figure yourself out,” Lynne Spears tells Us in an exclusive interview that is featured in the latest issue of the magazine. “It’s sad that the whole world had to watch her make mistakes that all of us have made at one time or another.”

Earlier this year, the pop star found herself in a downward spiral that culminated in a wild public meltdown that featured video footage of her shaving her head in a California salon and lashing out against a photographer¹s car with an umbrella before she checked into rehab.

And her famous blond locks weren’t the only thing the mother of two cut off at that time.

Monday night was ladies’ night for Britney Spears, who hit the town in L.A. with her assistant and BFF, Alli Sims, and some female friends.

For dinner it was SHU Sushi House Unico in Bel Air, which has become a favorite haunt of the singer’s. As always, she and her group dined in a private upstairs area, says a source, adding that Spears enjoyed her usual: California roll and a salad.

“She seemed happy,” says the source. “She just enjoyed the music [an XM "Chill" station], the atmosphere and the food. She was just having fun.”

Jayden James revealed. I have a lot of respect for Britney for not giving in and doing a photo shoot with Jayden for millions of dollars. We all knew we’d see him some day, and I’d rather see him in these circumstances, on a holiday with his mom, than in a million dollar photo shoot. He is CUTE!

Britney was spotted out and about in LA, after her mexican getaway, looking super pretty! I love it when she wears something as casual as this. Simple and cute. She looks like the old Brit again.
