Britney and her family appear to have sorted out their differences after a clandestine meeting at a palatial Bel Air mansion Sunday.

Brit has apparently forgiven her family for what she termed as “forcing her into a hell called rehab.”

Britney, arrived first for the meeting in her black Mercedes escorted by her bodyguards.

Her mother followed 20 minutes later driving Britney’s old Range Rover, accompanied by her youngest daughter Jamie Lynne and Jamie’s boyfriend.

The venue was one of the Malouf brothers’ mega expensive Bel Air mansions.

When all parties departed approximately 1 hour later they looked in good spirits.

Lately, relations between Britney and her mother had become extremely strained. According to rumors, Britney refused to see her mother on Mother’s Day, even though Lynne was sick with pneumonia.

Following her recovery, Lynne had been scheduled for what was believed to be a tell-all about her famous daughter on the television show “The View.” However, she pulled out of the show at the last minute.

Brit, as we know, spent some time in Mexico on vacation recently and according to NW Magazine told her pals that after weeks of hush-hush meetings and tearful late-night discussions, she is set to reunite with Kevin.

“When she was on vacation she was in the best mood she’s been in for ages, ” an insider dished to the magazine. “She confessed it was because she and Kevin are slowly moving towards getting back together. ”

The report claims that after months of misery and confusion, the singer has welcomed Kevin back into her life. Pals were stunned when Brit told them her news, as it seemed reconciliation was the last thing either of them wanted after their divorce was finalized in March. Even more shock - the report claims that each time Kevin drops off their sons Sean, 21 months, and Jayden, nine months, he stays for hours — and sometimes even overnight.

Welsh singer and TV presenter Charlotte Church has jumped to the defense of Britney Spears and her partying lifestyle. Church, who is pregnant with partner and rugby star Gavin Henson’s baby, says that women should not have to give up alcohol after their children are born.

Speaking to entertainment website Digital Spy, Church said:

“If you’re a woman, you’re supposed to stay sober until your kids grow up. That’s not fair. Just because Britney has the odd night on the lash doesn’t make her a bad mum.

“She’s still allowed to have a good time every now and again. It would be different if it was every night.” She added.

Britney’s relationship with her drug counsellor is more than just professional, according to the National Enquirer.

Britney met John Sundahl at his home in Beverly Hills after he was recommended to her as a therapist by someone at Promises Treatment Center but a source claiming to be close to the pair told the magazine that they quickly moved on from the doctor-patient relationship: “Britney and John ended up making out beside the pool — and Britney acted like she didn’t care who saw her. She’s got no shame.”

“John’s smitten with Britney. I’ve never seen him act so ridiculous with a girl. He’s so in love with her that he’s risking his career just to keep her happy.”

Sundahl is denying the relationship or that Britney is officially one of his patients but Britney’s mum Lynne Spears is said to be more happy with the relationship than she has been about many of Britney’s former men. The source added: “Lynne says this guy is exactly what Britney needs to turn her life around.”

Ne-Yo has told the media to leave Britney alone following her stint in rehab and other personal problems.

The R&B singer, who is working on Britney’s comeback album, says it’s not fair the star has received so much slack from the press.

“I’ve got a soft spot for Britney. I feel bad for her,” he said. “She’s obviously going through a hard time but the press and media aren’t giving her time to heal.”

He added: “It’s really sad.”

The 19-year-old singer believes the Toxic star’s admittance to the Promises clinic in Malibu, California earlier this year was due to the unrelenting pressure she has faced since a young age. She says, “I feel for her. I’ve met her a few times and she’s very sweet, hard-working and talented. “Being Britney Spears must be difficult. She’s been told what to do since she was young. She’s not a bad mum - she’s a first-time mum, and because she’s famous, she’s expected never to make mistakes. The pressure she’s under would get to anyone. People need to leave her alone.”

Some pictures of Britney Spears in a skimpy thong bathing suit taken while she was vacationing in Mexico made the news and so did her efforts to save an older couple from getting stung by jellyfish. The 25-year-old stayed at the Punta Mita’s Four Seasons Hotel with a friend over the weekend. Spears warned an older couple who were staying at the hotel about the jellyfish infested water.

“Be careful, there are lots of Man o’War jellyfish washing up on shore, you don’t want to get stung,” the singer reportedly told the older couple.

Spears recently confessed to her fans on her website that she had “hit rock bottom” and that she had been to “a very humbling place called rehab.” She blamed her erratic behavior, such as shaving her head, on her split from husband Kevin Federline.

Although she still seems troubled, a source told People that “She seemed happy and carefree with her friend.”

Britney and her cousin Allie spent a few days in Mexico recently, and Brit had a little oops moment while running away from the paparazzi. Although Britney is smiling, she felt like rushing to her hotel room after spotting the snappers, and accidentally revealed her booty.

Britney Spears’s mom should have been on ‘The View’ today but she has now cancelled, according to the network’s schedule. It’s not clear why but many speculate that Britney put the kibosh on the appearance. Now reports claim that Britney Spears may end up feuding with her mom for a whole lot longer.

According to a report from In Touch Weekly, the pop star - who had a falling out with her mom, Lynne, after feeling she had been forced to go to rehab - won’t be happy when she finds out that Lynne, 52, and little sis, Jaime Lynn, 16, spent time with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Kevin Federline’s former girlfriend, Shar Jackson, at the Dancing With the Stars finale in LA on May 22.

Now wonder Brit is miffed. “They were hanging out and chatting about the kids,” says an insider. “ They got along really well and went to a restaurant for dinner after the show.” Britney didn’t like Shar, 30, hanging out with her kids - Sean Preston, 20 months, and Jayden, 8 months - when Shar would see Kevin, but the insider says this will hit Britney even harder.

“There is a serious rift between her and her mom right now and this isn’t going to help it.” The report claims that Britney hasn’t spoken to her mom, Lynne, in weeks.
