September 30, 2008: Britney goes shopping at Fragment Jewelry in Soho earlier today. A large crowd of spectators gathered around Britney, which she found overwhelming and so she cut the shopping trip short.

September 29, 2008: Britney heads out to dinner at Serendipity restaurant in Manhattan, New York.

Britney’s attorney filed an appeal yesterday to delay her upcoming misdemeanor trial for driving without a license, according to The Associated Press.

J. Michael Flanagan filed a petition in the Los Angeles Superior Court seeking a stay in the case. He also wants an appellate judge to order the judge assigned to the case to grant a motion to dismiss.

Flanagan has requested a dismissal in the case twice, requesting that Spears pay the $10 fine and avoid a trial, which is currently slated for October. She faces a single misdemeanor charge in connection with an August 2007 incident in which she hit a parked car and left the scene, all while driving without a valid California license.

Fantastic news! When Britney was on Z100 earlier today, she confirmed a WORLD TOUR! A tour is “definitely” in the works, she said. “Oh, definitely next year,” she said on the radio show. “Probably around the world.”

I.Can’t.Wait.

Britney says her new song, “Womanizer” – which debuted on Friday – is an empowering anthem for girls.

“It’s basically saying, ‘We know what you’re up to.’ It’s about guys cheating on girls,” the singer told New York’s Z100 radio station on Monday. “It’s a girl anthem. That’s why I like it.

As for her recent victory at MTV’s Video Music Awards, where she won three Moonmen (including video of the year for “Piece of Me”), Spears expressed surprise.
