A report from a Miami Herald blog claims that Britney Spears was doing shots. “Lots of them,” says our source. Purple Hooter Shots, in fact – part vodka, Chambord and 7-Up. Spears continued her whirlwind 12-minute concert tour this weekend, hitting Miami’s celebrity hotspot Mansion on Sunday for a planned performance.

Reports Star Magazine, “She arrived around 5 p.m. for a sound check and spent most of the night in her room, sipping a mixture of red bull and apple juice while surrounded by pictures of her kids,” confesses a source. Adding, “She seemed rather lonely.”

Britney sat for the next few hours watching the crowd get pumped, but an hour before showtime she fled the club for some last minute shopping at Atrium, where she picked up some comped clothing. According to the report, Britney finally got back to the club and began her performance at 10:30 pm, wearing a pink tank top and black mini and white boots while lip-synching to “Hit Me Baby One More Time.”

“She looked good, but a little jiggly around the mid-section,” an eyewitness tells Star. “It didn’t help that all her dancers were totally toned and made her look like a bit of a fatty next to them.” Though none of this deterred the 25-year-old pop sensation who wore a black headband to cover up her “roots and bad extensions.”

After he brief performance, Spears went back to Mansion for a bit, around 2:15, sporting a red bandana print dress and black fedora and was flanked by her backup dancers. She sat at a VIP table for a bit and then moved on to SET, Scene in the Tropics reports. Again, with backup dancers, Spears moved into the VIP room and settled down with several bottles of Grey Goose and champagne.

She also visited the private VIP bathroom several times. “Like 80 times,” says one spy. Says one witness, “Spears was dancing around like a crazy lady. She is definitely back in the scene.”
