Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have welcomed their second son together, a source close the family has confirmed to PEOPLE.

The baby boy, who was born just before 2 a.m. Tuesday at a Los Angeles hospital, was delivered via a scheduled C-section.

“Kevin had a smile on his face. He looked happy and upbeat,” says an observer.

The whole thing, says a source, was smooth – just as the mom-to-be had predicted to PEOPLE back in August, saying childbirth “will be a piece of cake.”

Spears, 24, and Federline, 28, already have a son, Sean Preston, who was born Sept. 14 last year. For Federline, the new arrival is his fourth child. He also has a daughter Kori, 4, and son Kaleb, 2, with actress Shar Jackson.

Britney Spears is having cravings for her son’s baby food.

The ‘Toxic’ singer is eight months pregnant with her second child and has cravings for Sean Preston’s organic baby food.

A friend of the star is quoted by Britain’s The Sun newspaper as saying: “Britney is trying hard to eat healthily with this pregnancy but she’s getting cravings for weird food.

“She munches through tubes of baby biscuits.”

During her pregnancy Britney has been craving Cheetos crisps, fried chicken and even soil.

Last month the 24-year-old singer was rushed to hospital, when she suffered false labour pains, seven months into her pregnancy.

She resolved to improve her diet after doctors told her junk food cravings were not good for the baby.

A friend said: “She wasn’t eating enough vegetables. But Britney is now determined to enjoy the rest of her pregnancy and stay healthy after she gives birth.”

Earlier this week Britney and husband Kevin Federline took ten-month-old Sean to Las Vegas where Kevin was filming his new music video.

Despite it being the second time around for her, pregnancy doesn’t seem to be getting any easier for Britney Spears.

According to a “family insider” quoted in In Touch Weekly magazine, she went into false labour on 15th July and now has her doctor on speed dial in case it happens again: “She’s fine now. Britney started cramping. She had a real scare.”

Her doctor has warned her that she might have to spend the last month of the pregnancy on bed rest but another source quoted in the magazine has suggested it might be Britney’s own fault after “indulging in junk food during her first two trimesters”. The friend revealed that she hadn’t been “eating enough vegetables” but has now brought in a nutritionist to help her follow a well-balanced diet: “Britney is determined to enjoy the rest of her pregnancy and stay healthy after she gives birth.”

The baby is due in September, just a year after her first child, Sean, was born.

Jon LaLanne, the son of fitness guru Jack LaLanne, claims that chatting with Kevin Federline got him fired - because Spears feared he was only out to get information about her family, reports WENN.

Now, the angry LaLanne has fired back after his dismissal, telling In Touch magazine that his former boss can’t stand the thought of anyone talking to K-Fed without her permission.

‘”I was hanging out a little bit,” ex-employee Jon LaLanne told In Touch Weekly. “She came out screaming at Kevin for lying around, then looked at me like I was to blame.” The next day, LaLanne, says he got a call from Spears’ people, telling him not to report for work. LaLanne, son of the famed exercise guru Jack LaLanne, also has a band, and he says he and K-Fed would talk music. But, he claims, Spears would get jealous when her hubby talked to anyone else.

“She wants Kevin on a leash,” LaLanne told the mag. “She fires everybody. I figured, ‘Why not me?’ I just didn’t expect her to be so mean.” He adds: “It’s a revolving door there. She’s not the nice person everyone thinks she is.”‘

LaLanne has tended pools for Barbra Streisand and Jame Cameron, among others.

If you’re a regular visitor of this site you’ve probably noticed the lack of updates the last few weeks and I just wanted to let you all know that this is due to, well, first of all Britney has hardly been seen in public these past few weeks so there are not any pictures, and second of all, all the news articles I see out there are just bull. It’s not even worth posting up because it’s all completely fabricated. Britney has been out of the spotlight for a while now and the tabloids have nothing to write about so they just make stuff up.

Britney Spears seems to be turning things around — at least a bit.

This video was shot Thursday in New York City. Brit was securely holding baby Sean in her arms as she was flanked by some pretty burly bodyguards. Her new hair color is getting good reviews, at least on TMZ.

As she entered an office building in the East Village, her hair was pulled back. But when she left, she wore it down and it looked even better.

By the way, K-Fed was there as well, puttin’ in the time.
