She may be taking a break from the studio, but could new mom Britney Spears be headed for Broadway?

Access Hollywood has learned Britney is in deep talks to make her Broadway debut in the current revival of “Sweet Charity.”

The 23-year-old pop princess-turned-mom would replace Christina Applegate in the title role of the unlucky-in-love dancer, Charity, according to reports.

But Britney might not be making the jump to the big stage by herself.

Hubby Kevin Federline may be joining the show as well as producers are reportedly very much interested in Britney and are willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen.

Justin Timberlake was on Wild949 not long ago and said that his first single from his new album is gonna be “The Best Man You Ever Had”. He was then asked if the song was about Britney, to which he replied that him and Britney are cool and he has only nice things to say about her. So he didn’t confirm or deny it.

Britney Spears wants a fashion make-over from British TV style specialists Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine.

The pop princess is a massive fan of the pair’s TV show ‘What Not To Wear’ – screened in the US on cable channel BBC America – and would love to be revamped by the acid-tongued duo.

Spears says, “The girls are so dramatic in the make-overs and you just get caught up in it. It’s one of my favourite shows.

“Would I go on the show? Never say never.”

Britney Spears and hubby Kevin Federline’s much publicized marriage woes may be worse than reported if a report from Australia is accurate. According to a report in Softpedia a close friend of the pop tart has dished to Australia’s NW Mgazine: “Britney’s already seen the divorce lawyer. As it stands, the divorce papers are written up and all she has to do is give the word and they’ll be filed in the courthouse.”

Softpedia continues to quote the Aussie tabloid:

“She doesn’t want to divorce Kevin, but if that’s the best thing for her child and for her own sanity, that’s exactly what she’ll do.”

Dancer Federline is having a tough week.

He reportedly was seen falling from a podium in trendy Los Angeles nightspot The Spider Club after pulling what one observer called, “one too many enthusiastic dance moves.”

His hand is reportedly bandaged.

This report from down under is just now getting some low-level play, so it will be interesting to see if it is challenged by publicists.

Latino singer Shakira recently revealed that she is horrified every time when she is compared with the pop princess Britney Spears.

Shakira, 28, whose latest video “La Tortura” made its debut on Total Request Live (TRL) at number nine, and was the second Spanish music video ever to be included in the countdown, declared that she always dated better men than Britney, and that her videos represent her as an artist, not like Britney’s.

The singer has dated Antonio De La Rua, the son of former president Fernardon De La Rua and with whom she’s singing “La Tortura”, for several years.

She said: “My videos represent the artist in me very well, but not the kind of woman I am. When they watch my videos, people might think that I’m very sexually aggressive person, but I am completely the opposite. ”

“I’m very shy of my body. The most I can show is my belly. I admire people who can do nudes for the love of art. I can’t. And I wear enough to cover what my mother wishes I cover.”

Britney Spears has slammed rumours she has had a tummy tuck.

The pop beauty was left furious when she read reports alleging she had undergone cosmetic surgery after the birth of her baby son, Sean Preston.

The sexy singer, who is married to Kevin Federline, has also dismissed speculation she is depressed. Her spokeswoman, Leslie Sloane Zelnick, revealed: “She is not depressed, nor has she had a tummy tuck”.

Meanwhile, Britney has won a court victory against a man who claimed she stole one of his songs. A judge has dismissed a copyright-infringement lawsuit brought against the star by songwriter Steve Wallace, who accused Britney and her record company, Sony/BMG, of using music written by him in her hit song ‘Sometimes’.

However, Britney’s legal team managed to prove in court that the song was completely written by Jorgen Elofsson.

The star’s lawyer, David R Baum, revealed: “We actually forced the other side to voluntarily dismiss the case. We had presented very compelling -actually indisputable – evidence that the song was independently created by Jorgen Elofsson. It was not created by Mr Wallace”

A lawsuit claiming pop star Britney Spears plagiarised her hit record ‘Sometimes’ have been dismissed by a judge in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Songwriter Steve Wallace alleged the 23-year-old stole and copyrighted his track, originally penned in 1990, and released her version on her 1999 debut album ‘Baby One More Time’, and on 2004’s ‘Greatest Hits – My Prerogative’.

Wallace maintained that a few weeks after finishing his song, he executed what is known as a ‘poor man’s’ copyright – sealing his work in an envelope and obtaining a postmark – making Spears’ later copyright void.

But his suit was thrown out by US District Judge John D Tinder last week, despite a side-by-side comparison of the songs in court showing a striking resemblance.

Spears’ lawyer David R Baum quashed rumours the two parties had reached a financial settlement.

He said, “I cannot emphasise enough this was not a settlement but a dismissal.”

It’s been almost two months since Britney Spears gave birth to her son and we still haven’t seen any photos of him. What’s wrong with this picture? Britney has never been camera shy and often flaunts her private life for the paparazzi. When she married Kevin Federline just over a year ago, official pictures were published in People magazine just a few days later. But Spears is proving to be much more protective of her child than she is of herself.

Baby Federline’s name has never even been officially announced, though the public has come to know him as Sean Preston.
Recently, thumbnails of a set of pictures of Britney, Kevin and the baby surfaced on a number of fan and gossip sites (including the Bosh). Spears threatened legal action against anyone using the images as she claimed they had been stolen. Since then, Sean has been out of the spotlight.
Struggling tabloid, OK! has been desperate for the original stolen photos.

At this point, publishing the first pictures of Britney’s baby would guarantee high sales for the magazine. According to the New York Daily News, OK! has even been pandering to the pop star in the hopes that she may give up her precious pics for a price. A recent issue of the magazine had planned to do a story on Kevin Federline’s bad behavior. An insider said, “We started out making Kevin look like a real ass.
Britney’s people were not happy with the angle, so the story was changed a bit to reflect a happier married life. The tone became softer, the focus changed. It’s ridiculous! We let up on Kevin a whole hell of a lot. It’s just to stay in Brit’s graces to maybe one day get those f-ing baby pics.”
